I am a sucker for a good runway show. A lot of people puport they don't enjoy high fashion runways presentations because their look cannot translate to everyday fashion Furthermore, plus- size women oftentimes don't even bother looking at straight size fashion because of the misguided notion that it doesnt come in thier size so it's not relevent. Well, folks are wrong on both accounts. ANYONE can take very real inspiration from runway fashion. The best part of fashion is taking inspiration and making it work for your body and your personal style.
Thanks to the Lindsey Lohan debacle with the Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2010 Ready to Wear collection, I was forced to look at houses' past collections. I was not familiar with the line's aesthetic and I prefer to have context before I jump in with the abundance of fashion folks that were quick to blame Lohan for the hot mess soup that was Ungarao's most recent outing.
Emanuel Ungaro's previous collections were better by comparison, even if inconsistant. There is an ever changing point of view that is no doubt due to the revolving door of HBICs over at the line's headquarters. I did find some gems that were not present in the most recent collections. Looks like the line has inspired some of my future looks. Here is one of my faves in MY SIZE. Walk with me
